Description & Requirements

Infor is looking to hire a highly driven, mentor/coach and collaborative Senior Director, Business Development to work across multiple industry verticals. 

 

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Create, develop, and motivate a high performing team by mentoring, challenging, and developing frontline business development leadership and business development representatives;
  • Motivate team by supporting their individual and team growth and by celebrating their success and achievements; Provide positive feedback and celebrate managers’ and business development reps’ success; Provide corrective feedback to inspire the team to stretch and over-perform.
  • Demonstrate deep level of understanding of Infor’s product set, target industries and current sales cycle; Leverage financial understanding of Infor’s value proposition.
  • Demonstrate a strong external focus including external industry involvement to influence direction and build Infor’s reputation in the vertical market
  • Create and manage a Business Development budget
  • Ensure achievement of relevant KPIs
  • Monitor team performance, provide ongoing feedback and apply clear, consistent performance standards aligned with sales goals
  • Foster cooperation, communication and commitment among team; Encourage collaboration within and across organizational boundaries
  • Establish mechanism to ensure optimal level of teamwork by valuing contributions, and encouraging accountability; Anticipate and resolve conflicts and remove barriers to team’s success
  • Act as key player in managing corporate change initiatives
  • Demonstrate commitment to the development and learning of team
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion

Basic Qualifications:

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in English including presentation and facilitation skills 
  • A Few years of experience leading a successful team of Inside Sales or Business Development managers at the Director level
  • Prior experience in Inside Sales and/or Business Development for a Software Company
  • Prior consultative B2B sales experience in multiple industries.
  • Experience guiding business development managers through a disciplined process to ensure that demand-generation campaigns are executed by the teams and led through sequential stages of engagement, alignment, desire, and acceptance
  • Proven experience in change management and transformation projects
  • Ability to communicate with key stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Be fluent in another European language
  • Experience with Meddpicc qualification methodology

The Director of Business Development will lead a team of business development directors/managers with the end goal of developing and strengthening relationships between Infor and our valued customers and uncovering new business opportunities within assigned territories.


This person will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and market expansion for the software company. Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.


This role involves building and nurturing key internal relationships, executing strategic demand generation campaigns into our core target industries, and creating strategies to enhance the company's market presence.


This is a critical role in reaching the lead and revenue goals set by Infor, aligned with the sales revenue targets.

This person will be responsible for working cross-functionally with sales, business development, marketing, digital and events teams with the ultimate goal of growing Infor’s market share.


Some travel may be required- 5% of the time.
