Development Operation Engineer, Associate is an operational role. Key aspects of the position

  • Support Internal and external customers, managing production systems on a very large scale in cloud.
  • Willingness to work in a team to design the best possible system without letting ego get in the way.
  • Motivated with strong sense of exploration to learn and adapt new cloud technologies with focus on improved project/service delivery.
  • Ability to work in an extremely geographically distributed company.
  • Good communication skills across


Key Responsibilities


Development

 

A basic knowledge of PowerShell or Python.

Networking

Understanding of fundamental concepts like network security, routing, and load balancing.

 

Operations

Understanding of operational concepts like change management, on call rotations, escalations, uptime, etc.

Ability to learn and deliver new builds/ environments.

 

OS

Understanding of one of the major OS families (Linux or Windows)


Key Requirements/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or 0-2 years of professional work experience in a related field
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience working with Linux or Windows
  • Basic understanding in writing Python scripts or Windows PowerShell scripts
  • Deep understanding of one of the major OS families (Linux or Windows)
