The Cloud Software as a Service (Cloud SaaS) team at Infor is building internal software tools and services that help developers deploy code and operations personnel maintain it. Our work decreases time to market, reduces development cost and accelerates innovation for the next generation of enterprise cloud applications.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development and Operations Engineer that will join our Cloud SaaS Operations team. You’ll work with many AWS offerings and open-source tools. You’ll help provide operational support to our Cloud Infrastructure that hosts our enterprise applications while maintaining the backend services. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, monitoring, and development of system automations while working with key stakeholders throughout the enterprise to help us deliver multi-tenant applications to customers in the cloud. And you’ll work on a tight-knit team that moves fast and learns new skills on a daily basis.
Provides operations support from a wide variety of client organizations and external groups and perform the necessary support required to resolve issues
Proactively maintain system stability through monitoring and proactive maintenance of environments.
- 12x7 on-call rotation
- Design and maintain tools to automate operational processes and support full automation testing.
- Expand upon existing automation to include additional manual or inefficient processes.
- Work with your team to drive process improvements, test-driven development, and DevOps practice
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Successfully completes training requirements based on career development plan and assists in the development and training of others
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years’ experience as Devops Engineer
- System administration experience in Linux
- AWS for cloud experience is required
- Coding/Scripting knowledge and experience is required (Python, Bash)
- Background in CI/CD, Terraform
- Research and Development skill
- Formal education and experience in Computer Information systems (or related field) and customer service
- Must have a high degree of technical knowledge to understand the environment.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other departments and from all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge in AWS services including but not limited to EC2, Systems Manager, Lambda, CloudFormation, Cloudwatch, IAM, S3.
- Proficient in scripting using Python
- Knowledge in other scripting tools like Bash
- Knowledge in Linux system administration
- Knowledge in using Terraform
- Knowledge in using Git, CI/CD
- Knowledge in monitoring tools like SumoLogic
- Knowledge in AI/ML is a plus but not required
- Knowledge in Saltstack & Grafana is a plus but not required
- Knowledge in DB administration is a plus but not required
