Infor® OS is a cloud operating platform that seamlessly connects services to provide a robust technology framework that serves as the foundation of innovation for the entire business ecosystem. Data Lake is one of its components. In the largest region, we serve thousands of tenants each running tens of software systems.
Data Lake streaming ingestion and pipelines is a new system based on a microservice architecture that will allow adopters to ingest data to Data Lake and transform it while streaming to downstream systems. We utilize an open-source, cloud-native, distributed streaming platform – Apache Pulsar. Our ambition is to provide a system where users can model the pipeline and apply on-the-fly transformations to the data stream.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
  • Still greenfield project – we started from scratch 1,5 years ago
  • Testing - we practice unit and integration testing to keep the quality of our product stack
  • Scrum - software is built in iterations to deliver new features
  • Methodology - we incorporate best practices of software development - CI, Code Reviews
  • Cloud Native software developed according to The Twelve-Factor App, everything on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Aggressive on the technologies used – we are early adopters of the newest Java versions, and we run Apache Pulsar (technology that the Splunk team has migrated to from Kafka)
  • Cooperation at a global scale - we have teams around the world, including Poland, the Czech Republic, the USA

Required skills:
  • Ability to understand and propose system architecture as a solution to a given problem
  • Strong background in Java and Spring-boot development experience
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong background in Java 17, Spring-boot development experience
  • Experience in software integration and testing (JUnit, Mockito)
  • Design patterns, architectural patterns, and modeling tools
  • Nice to have - experience in working with streaming platforms and reactive programming
  • Experience in containerization - Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services
  • Experience in software security - defining secure solutions and fixing security issues - Sonar, Veracode
  • Continuous Integration - Gitlab + Gradle
  • AWS certification
  • Issue tracking - Jira
  • Knowledge repository - Confluence
